A Broken Wall

Walls represent a dividing point between one side and the other.  Obviously that makes sense.  Walls in our house may divide a bedroom from a living room or a bathroom.  At times walls are necessary for privacy and security.  In Genesis 3:23-24, we see the wall that was placed between God and man.  God never intended for man to be separated from Him but man chose to sin.  Sin always separates God and man.  In verse 24 we see that God "drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."  This garden of Eden represented a relationship that man once had with God.  Now a wall was keeping man from fellowshipping with God.  The truth is though that God still loved us and desired to make a way to destroy that wall.
In Ephesians 2:13, Paul talks about the dividing point and how we were on one side and God on the other.  He says, "But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."  We see the great separation was taken away by the shed blood of Christ.  In verse 14 the Bible says, "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;"  You see it was in God's plan to restore mankind to fellowship once again.  At the moment of salvation you placed your trust in the finished work of Christ in order to allow you the opportunity to enter into HIS presence.  The Bible says in verse 18 that we have access unto the Father.  Young people, let me challenge you today to realize the great blessing it is to have a relationship with the Lord.  Never take lightly what Christ went through to break down the wall.  Read God's Word today and talk to Him in prayer.  He is waiting to fellowship with you today!
